Device Compatibility

AxnPoint WrXs reads heart rate from the industry-standard Bluetooth Heart Rate profile. If a sensor speaks that standard — nearly every chest strap and armband sold today, and any sports watch with a “broadcast heart rate” mode — it works. No brand lock-in, no dongles.

Built in: Apple Watch and Wear OS

The AxnPoint WrXs watch apps install automatically alongside the phone app on Apple Watch and Wear OS. Nothing extra to download — open the app on your watch, join the session, and go phone-free with live zones and haptic alerts on your wrist.

Bluetooth sensors: iPhone today, Android returning

Straps, armbands and broadcast watches currently connect through the iPhone app. Android support is returning in an upcoming release — in the meantime, Android members can go phone-free with the Wear OS watch app.

Chest straps — best accuracy

Any Bluetooth (BLE) chest strap works. Widely available choices:

Optical armbands — no strap under a gi

Connecting a strap or armband

  1. Put the sensor on and wake it (most wake on skin contact or with a button).
  2. In AxnPoint WrXs, scan your gym’s QR code, then under Connect from choose Bluetooth sensor.
  3. The app finds the nearest broadcasting sensor and connects — you’re live on the board in seconds.

Sports watches with “broadcast heart rate”

Many sports watches can act as a Bluetooth heart-rate sensor. Turn the watch’s broadcast mode on, then connect in the app exactly like a strap:

GarminMost recent Forerunner, Fenix, Venu, Instinct and vívoactive: Settings → Sensors & Accessories → Wrist Heart Rate → Broadcast Heart Rate. Models older than roughly 2019 broadcast ANT+ only, which phones cannot receive.
PolarVantage, Grit X, Pacer, Ignite: Settings → General settings → Pair and sync → Heart rate broadcast.
COROSPACE, APEX, VERTIX: open the toolbox/menu → Broadcast Heart Rate.
AmazfitNewer Zepp OS models (GTR 4, T-Rex 2/3, Cheetah): enable heart-rate broadcast in the workout settings.
WhoopWhoop 4.0 and later: enable Broadcast Heart Rate in the Whoop app’s device settings.
SuuntoRecent models (Race, Vertical, 9 Peak Pro) can broadcast; older Suunto watches cannot.
